The responsibility for the payment of council tax during any vacant periods lies with the property owner.

During the course of a tenancy, it falls to the Tenant to pay.

We will advise the relevant department in West Lothian Council when tenants move into and out of the property and when the property is vacant.

It is the owner’s responsibility to claim any discounts, and to pay any accounts, which may be due by them.
